Born down the road in Osaka, Aya travelled extensively in Europe and South America and speaks English, Spanish and Japanese fluently. Aya is engaging and and fun and as well as running her own craft business in Kyoto, also works as a part time chef!
Raised in Chile and a resident of Japan for over 25 years, Jaime is a trilingual father of one, a keen cyclist and a Karate enthusiast. His work as a craftsmen, a tour guide and a television personality has brought him into contact with people from all over the world and his experience and knowledge of Japanese culture is unmatched.
Gion is famous throughout the world as the home of Japan's iconic Geisha culture, with the majority of working Geisha in Japan spending at least some of their time in these alleyways and lanes.
However, this area, is not only about Geisha, but is home to a proud and interesting resident community who we are honoured to call our neighbours. We cannot wait to show you around and introduce you to what makes this particular part of the world so special to us.
